I predict 10-6 with an outside chance of 11-5. Pittsburgh and Baltimore are not any better than the Bengals in my opinion (they had better records last year - however, Cincinnati's luck ran out last year on injuries and schedule). 3 pretty equal teams and it could go either way. Lucky breaks, health, etc. Plus, Pittsburgh has to pray for a good showing this year in case Ben retires at the end of the year. They will be left with nothing at QB to lead their team. Flacco is crap against our defense for whatever reason. He sees orange and he loses his field vision. I say all 3 teams have a pretty equal chance of winning the division this year.

Cincinnati may have gone 6-9-1, but of 6 games (0-5-1) they were all in the second half of the season, and it was by a combined 16 points total. A healthy Green and Eifert played together during 3 games, and in those three games the offense averaged 26 points a game. In the second half of the season, our defense averaged only giving up 15.75 points per game.

I think our defense will be decent again this year, if not better by getting rid of Peko and Maualuga, we have Billings and William Jackson being added to our rookie class we will be drafting and we have like 10-11 picks. I know quantity doesn't make up for quality, but we haven't been too bad at drafting in the last 10 years.

An easier schedule and some good breaks on the health front will go a long ways in helping us get back into the playoffs. I am not quite as optimistic as Mrs. Chaney, but I am optimistic about competing in this division that I don't think there is a clear cut class of the division like NE is in the East.

At least it gave everyone a chance to remind us that the Bengals haven't won a playoff game in the modern era..... Almost forgot.
