I have a bad feeling that Stanford will beat us by 30. Can our defense be able to sustain the pounding of the rock by Stanford? Can Rees do anything against their defense? Granted Oregon played an awful game for 3 quarters and made huge mistakes in the red zone but Stanford just physically owned them. ND seems very soft comparing the two. Anyone else have any thoughts?

30? doubtful. they have only beat one team by 30. most of their games against decent teams have been close. i don't expect nd to win but i doubt it would be by more than 10. rees would have to be very bad for that to happen and he just hasn't been.

14 is probably more realistic.............you are right. I didn't think about how long Stanford holds the ball for and is not the big play type of team. They just don't score that many points in general.

All I'm worried about right now is beating Pitt ... but Stanford sure looked impressive against the Ducks. Yes ... I watched the whole game and I've already said that it would take a modern day miracle for us to go to Palo ALto and win.

I think our defense will be OK against Stanford, but Stanford's defense is nasty. If we can't run the ball I think Rees could have a rough day. I wouldn't bet on it, but I think it is possible for ND to pull off the upset.
