When these guys inevitably get let into the tournament on Sunday

Will this be the most outrageous inclusion in the history of the tournament?

Seriously. That resume is down right embarrassing.

They are at least in a play in game. Resume sucks but they have some decent wins and I think they outweigh their 3 bad losses.

Im starting to think they may not. Will be one of those surprise teams fools like Lunardi have in that get left out because the committee really strips down the resume.

They don't have numerous good wins, dont have good road wins and havent schedule anyone

Would be a joke

No good wins?

New Mexico State - WAC regular season champs
Harvard - Ivy League regular season co-champs
Gonzaga - WCC regular season and tournament champs

They've also beaten BYU twice and UC Irvine, who might win the Big South tournament.

2 of their losses are against Gonzaga and BYU, the other 3 are against bad teams but they have more "good wins" than "bad losses"

"numerous"

Reading is key.

And look at the teams you fucking mentioned lmfao. Gonzaga is good the others? Jesus.

Even Gonzaga is down this year and looking at like a 4 seed.

New Mexico State and Harvard as good wins is down right fucking hilarious.

Come selection Sunday, St. Mary's will be in a least a play-in game.

Nobody said they wouldn't be

Let me rephrase then.

Come selection Sunday, St. Mary's will be in at least a play-in game and they deserve to be in the NCAA tournament.

Which is wrong.

And you proved it with your "good wins" you provided.

No, not wrong, just not in agreement with your opinion.

Saying Harvard is not a good team is not an opinion

Its a fact that can be supported by their god awful non conference record.

Cool story.

I have yet to see a bracketology bracket that doesn't include St. Mary's in at least a play-in game for a 11 or 12 seed. I'm not saying they are a lock, but I believe they are currently in the tournament and they deserve to be there. Plus, they are gonna get a lot of help from bubble teams from the ACC, SEC and Pac-12.

So you now deflect from calling Harvard a good win?

BPI of 151, SOS of 148 and RPI of 123.

Thats actually in the bottom of the quadrant system. So the exact opposite of a good win lmao

I think beating a conference champion is a good win. Losing to an 11th place team, however, is not a good loss. They have 3 bad losses, but in my opinion, beating conference champions helps and the fact that bubble teams from 3 other conferences have yet to play in their respective tournaments makes me believe their chances of making it are very very good and I think they deserve to be in it.

Forgot about them

That was really bad too.

St Marys should be punished for their cowardly scheduling tho. Turned down many opportunities

They're going to benefit from playing a bunch of average or slightly below average teams as opposed to a team like Penn St would has the same amount of Q1 wins but lost to all the good teams they played ( save OSU ). St Mary's has a RPI and Sagarin in the mid 40s and a BPI and Kenpom in the high 20s. With 3 Q1 wins I think those numbers get them in even though I think a team like PSU would wax them pretty easily

Their KenPom and BPI are both solid.

The bubble is just a question of preference at this point.

Do you want a team that has been totally mediocre but capable of blowing out a #1 seed? Arizona State.

Do you want a team that by virtue of playing home games in a tough conference has amassed a bunch of 'good' wins? The K State.

Or do you want a team that has blown out mickey mouse teams and has 1 good win (but a good win on the road) over a tournament contender?

That's St. Marys.

I personally would rather see St Marys in rather than a host of teams.

None of the above
