in even more shitty news today ESB has declared for the draft.

I hope someone has told him that the ability to catch the ball is a prerequisite to playing on an NFL team*

* Apparently not a requirement for the Cleveland Browns.

Also this isn't shocking and with how he played this year the loss isn't as great as I thought it would be. Honestly Stepherson likely getting kicked out of school or off the team in the very least hurts more.

I agree he won't go until day 2 maybe day 3 unless he really shines in combine/workouts.

Welp ... add Josh Adams to the NFL list, too.

This one isn't surprising & makes sense.

Aren't we over signed anyways? St. Brown isn't a big loss, Adams is a bigger loss but we knew it was coming. We still have a really good stable of backs.

After Adams leaves, our RBs look like:

Dexter Williams
Tony Jones
Deon McIntosh
* C J Holmes

I don't see Holmes lasting ... can't stay outta trouble.

I'd say it's a tossup for #1 back btwn Williams/Jones ... both got limited carries as Adams was the workhorse. Williams has shown moments of greatness with burst speed and Jones is our tough yardage guy. Seems we're kinda 'thin' at this point.

I don't know of any of the new recruits/Frosh that are coming in.

I think Dexter, Tony and McIntosh are more than capable of filling the hole left by Adams.

No doubt, capable ... I just don't know about the same level of play we got from Adams.

Williams might blossom into something better than what I've seen of him. I love his burst speed and moves ... just don't know about his durability for an every down-type and/or versatility. McIntosh - jury still out on him with me ... really didn't get to see as much as I'd like to make a total assessment.

McIntosh also needs to beef up a little. Think he's listed at 193 lbs.

Smith the RB out of North Carolina is the only runningback in this year's class.
