Franco needs to be DFAd, Kingery is the far superior player and it's not even close
Too soon to give up on Franco. He is still young. Kingery does look good, but his real test will come when he faces
major league pitching all the time.

i disagree, Dom Brown was also once considered "still young", "can't give up on him", etc. and we all know how that turned out

he has power...................and that's it, hes a dime a dozen type, period. hes also gonna be 26 in august, if he can't figure it out by now, its not likely hes going to magically "get it" and start becoming a .275/30/90 guy

That 2013 season in minors between High A and AA was about a big a smokescreen as you can get, and hes only gotten worse each year since then.

I pretty much agree. He's still probably the best option for 3b at the moment but I don't think he'll ever become the middle of the order guy we had hoped for.

Clearwater Phollies still need more seasoning. Kingery, Crawford, Alfaro and Hoskin appear ready. Scrubs Valentin, Walding, Flaherty, and Florimon taking it seriously. Franco, Herrera, Williams, and others loafing with two weeks to go. Franco and Kingery each have 3 homers. Drink up! :suds:

The Phillies will give Franco another chance because he comes cheap. They can sandwich him between 4 power hitters
so he will be a part of the BOMB squad. He just need to draw more walks and get a few more hits to get his OBP over .325.

Is Jesumel Valentin the next Caesar Hernandez?

He will need to spend more time at Lehigh and work on his hitting. He is a scrappy type player. He is learning
to play most positions including catching. Seems like he projects as a utility type at best.

I like the assertions by jvett and Cedrique about Kendrick. He certainly can't do any worse that the many dumpster-dive products we have trotted through the Phillies organization in the last three years.

Might as well call Jaime Moyer. But he will need a walker to get to the mound!

The Phillies are pathetic
That’s why they hired Arrieta
The problem is their hitting
Except for Kingery and Hoskins
They all look like they’re shitting.

The Phillies bats are starting slow--New hitting coach and all--maybe they need glasses--or low in standings they will fall!

Man, we have serious FO flaws with the Phillies. They keep picking-up total losers and letting good-to-great players walk right on by. Bunch of incompetents in-over-their-heads again. I don't know when this is going to change.

Looks like another season of the dildoes!
