Yes.

Scuttlebutt is he is a gamer, has Baker's "elusivity", has a "stronger" arm, and manages the game as well as Mayfield. If Baker wasn't the lame duck with so much experience with Lincoln's offense, it would be a very tight QB race. I saw him pull the ball down on one play and he didn't get touched for 13 yards.

I'm going to withhold platitudes until I see results, but it doesn't suck to be Lincoln Riley right now.

Mead is coming along nicely.

Is it weird that your qb depth chart goes:

1. Guy walked on and transferred out because he couldn't earn a Scholly at OKST

2. Guy was an OKST commitment we kinda told to look around because a PWO looked better.

3. Guy was a HS stud but down with Baylor when everyone knew kids committed there were on the take. Plus he hasn't lapped the two boneheads who weren't good enough to play for a school you haven't beaten since Clinton was in office.

Look on the bright side. Houston has a solid fb coach that played in your state. He is your savior after you guys fire a guy that recruits like Saban but only gets results like RC

At some point, Mayfield will pull the ball down and run with it and, BOOM, get detonated on by some linebacker.
It's just a matter of time until he gets obliterated just like that cop did to him.
This guy will see some time this year.
No doubt in my mind.

The short and skinny of it ... If one of our QBs step up and the OL gels, we'll be kickin ass again this year. Without the QB, we're going to struggle. Could be a long year. Like always though, it's hard to tell what the fuck is going to happen judging by a spring game.
