According to French over a TKP, he saw Joel Caleb working as a WR. Hopefully it'll stick. He can't seem to crack the RB rotation and we could use some WR depth

McMillian seems to have some major upside.

I will once again curious to see how the QB shakes out. I am hoping Motley can take that step to be the guy this year. I like some things about Brewer, he just has a lot of physical limitations. Both of those guys have injuries worries as well. Hopefully Ford will also be ready to go if needed.

I wouldn't min seeing a QB rotation, but Motley has to be used as a passer as well. He was pretty good running the ball.

That's a quick move for Nijman. Was he really that bad on defense or something? Not sure that's a good sign for his ability to play at this level

I think many thought he was not quick/fast enough to play DE in Buds system. Really too big for that position.

Until Bud can pull the Hands, Sweats, etc. (most likely 5 star recruits), VT will not have guys with the speed AND great size as a bonus to play in Buds system.

Durkin out for the rest of spring with a separated shoulder. From the way the reports read, he wasn't pushing his way up the depth chart anyway. In fact, he sounds like Brewer is entrenching himself as the starter. Not sure how I feel about that. On the positive, maybe he's improved. On the other side, we don't have anybody good enough to beat him out and if he plays like he did last year, we won't be any better.

Sounds like Durkin should consider another position and the outlook on Ford may be worse. Definitely hope Lawson can come in and play, because we may be in deep hurt (with and) after Brewer

I'm disappointed that there doesn't appear to be much progress from Ford yet. I was hoping if he couldn't pass Brewer that he'd at least be a firm #2.

The thing is Ford will get better with repetitions and being 3rd string, he isn't getting nearly as many reps.

Having Brewer back for a 2nd year could make for a big improvement. He wasn't here last spring so he had limited reps with the team before the season started. The offense should be like 2nd nature to him this fall when last year he was still learning. It is easy to say he was the starter and should have known it but knowing the plays is different than being able to command an offense especially after only a few months.

I'm hoping a full Spring practice will help him figure out what color jerseys we wear.

THIS. I didn't think he had a problem knowing the plays. He just had a nasty habit of making a really stupid throw at the worst possible time.

Watching the spring game on espn3 and Sean Glennon is the analyst.

10 seconds in and he's already a dropped, "When I played..." Figured they were coming, but goddamn. :L
