Boise not moving up is odd. I wish northwestern would've made it in over some of these teams that haven't done anything yet (Arizona, Arkansas, Missouri, lsu, Fsu, Clemson, etc.)

So a 7 point home win over a Michigan team that is well outside the top 25, in a game where the MI QB missed like six open deep TD passes and threw a pick six, is worthy of a jump to 20?

People bitch about weak OOC scheduling but then they reward shitty wins while punishing losses against great teams. There is simply no way in hell Utah played better than we did last week, nor is there any way in hell they played like a top 20 team.

Or better yet, how can anyone justify Minnesota behind Utah based on last week. To do so, you have to find TCU is not 14 points better than Michigan. And anyone who saw those games on Thursday knows TCU wins by 35+ if they play on a neutral field.

Silly Minnesota and their hard OOC scheduling. A 7 point win over Boston College would have been smarter.

TCU played poorly, I put that more on TCU than Minnesota. Based on what I watched, Minnesota was fortunate to be in that game. I never thought for a second that Minnesota was going to win. Also, if Utah and Minnesota played on a neutral field, I'd pick Utah.

Wisconsin didn't exactly look good against Bama. Down by 25 mid-way through the 4th Qtr.

Im going to try and rank teams this year based off only what they have done this year so far. Its tough to not let preseason bias and last years results come in to play a little but BYU got a really solid road win and Oregon gave up 42 to a FCS team at home... If I am going to try and be non biased then I cannot rank the Ducks right now. They certainly didnt have one of the 25 best results from the opening week

One of the dumbest top 25's I've ever seen.

Why?? If YOU want to use preseason expectations to rank teams then go for it/ Whats wrong with using this season and its results ONLY to rank teams?? Isnt that actually what people SHOULD do??

No, it's stupid. For one you think winning a road game against SMU(who's awful) is more difficult than beating Stanford, Louisville, Texas, UVA and Washington. And if you're doing it that way, where's FIU? They beat Central Florida on the road, who's a hell of a lot better than SMU is. Or where's Hawaii? Beat a P5 school. Or South Dakota State? Much like WKU, they went on the road and beat a P5 school. Or Portland State? That's why it's dumb.

- byu got a miracle win against an unranked team and that deserves top 6?
- equating all fcs teams as inferior to all fbs teams is just as biased as those you proclaim not to use. ewu has proved they are a good football team no matter what division they are in.
- you rant against using preseason bias but yet hold more weight for teams that beat schools that are living of years of past success. ie valuing a win over this years penn st or stanford the same as if they were top 5 teams from yesteryear.

your ridiculous poll was counted but just stop trying to defend already......

Well I said doing it without bias is tough and youre probably right, Baylor is probably too high if I am doing it like I said. Like I said, bias is tough to forget

I dont consider anyone to be ranked before game 1. You guys always get your panties twisted over someone trying to do things different at the start but at the END of the year everyone bemoans preseason rtanking bias and " thats why so and so is still ranked or why team A is still ranked above team B"... you cant have it both ways. Im just trying something different so get over it. And I value wins over PSU and Stanford because they are P5 wins. Nothing other than that

So if FIU beats IU this weekend, they're going to be in your top 5 right? Road win over a P5 team and over Central Florida(who's better than SMU)

i could care less about your poll but defending it like you are unbiased is dumb.

Theyll be ranked for sure Im guessing, obviously depends on what else happens this weekend. Im sure by years end theyll be 6-6 and it wont matter
