What if you just can't vote for your own team? a top 25 minus your team. Obviously some would still rate rivals lower, but it would offset some of the bullshit

Or people could just vote rationally, that would work.

Or the person adding up the poll could throw out any vote 10 or more votes away from the average or something. I don't know.

Or I could just not worry about it and stop taking the internet serious. :noidea:

If enough people vote, then it works itself out as far as final results.

I just don't care for it being used as a base to troll.

I mean... I don't even post a poll, so that should show you how serious I'm taking it. I was just offering up solutions

That wouldn't bother me in the least.

I haven't posted my poll yet but when I do chances are I'll have Washington at #1. After that I'll just fill the rest in with some random teams.

And FWIW, I have Clemson 4th, so in my preseason playoffs, and while I think as long as Dabo is there, Clemson won't be going anywhere, I could see this being a "down year"(which is 2-3 losses) due to a new starting QB.

I debated putting them no. 1. They are the defending champs and its preseason so until someone beats them they are king of the hill.

But new season and the default going in is always Bama so I couldn't do it.

Sorry, but Clemson will not win the ACC or make the playoffs this year. It's extremely hard to maintain success, and Clemson is going to find that out IMO.

If Clemson makes it back, it would be one hell of a coaching job by Dabo.

But I see something similiar to what happened to Alabama in 2010. Alabama had more talent in 2010 than we had in 2009. 2009 team went undefeated, 2010 team lost 3 games. They just weren't as hungry.

2011 and 2012 were back to back, but in 2013 we should have had an even easier time with AJ coming back, we had Amari Cooper, etc. Instead, it falls apart at the end of the year, and there were big signs of entitlement and bad attitudes among the players.

Seen the same things with Ohio St recently too.

Harder to maintain the success than it is to get there IMO.

Get FSU and Auburn at home. I think that's a big plus for them. Rest of the schedule is extremely manageable. I don't think Dabo will let the program get complacent. He's a great head coach.

Maybe, but I'm taking the odds that they'll drop a few games.

Clemson will fall short of winning the ACC this year but make no mistake they will be good

their defensive line will help them a lot, they have one of the best defensive lines in the nation

From my experience tallying votes not being able to vote for your own team would actually have a bigger impact on the poll than idiots like me ranking their favorite team 9th

As long as they kick the shit out of Auburn, it's all good to me.

OK
What if you forgot a team and want to change your pick from your original pick.
What's the procedure for that.

We need input.

I didn't put too much time into this. I basically looked at how they did last season and how many they drafted. That is why Alabama is #3 and Michigan is #13.

There are some teams that should be higher, but I want to see how they do first.

The announcement of Florida suspending star wide receiver Antonio Callaway and six other players for the Gators’ season opener against Michigan has cause sportsbooks to take notice.

Westgate Superbook moved Michigan from a 2.5-point favorite up to a 4-point favoriteas soon as the news broke. Minutes later, the line was moved again to the Wolverines being a 4.5-point favorite before settling back at 4-point again.

Stratosphere Casino also moved their line from Michigan being a 2.5-point favorite to 3.5-points.

CG Technology, Atlantis, William Hill, and Coasts Line also moved their lines as well. The Gators went from a 3-point underdog to a 3.5-point underdog with both sportsbooks in the wake of the suspension news.
