"Our shithole has been around longer than your shitholes!"

Honestly, once they set the record, it should never even come close to being broken. Nobody keeps their stadia longer than 20 years anymore

The Braves are planning a new stadium for 2030 as we speak.

The case for 154 games, Fenway's quest and MLB's next big thing

When this season started, the Red Sox had played 8,337 regular-season games at Fenway Park. They have since played nine home games in the 2018 season, pushing the total to 8,346. That means with 21 more home games, the Fenway site will have seen more regular-season games than any other spot on Earth. Barring further postponements, that milestone game will be played June 6, when Boston hosts Detroit in an night game..

Who are they going to replace? I always been a fan of Fenway Park, while not being a Red Sox fan. If you guys were to get rid of your resident fashion designer (Chris Sale), I might actually root for your team (my team is going nowhere - hence my avatar),

Hey now! Fenway has made improvements.
But not the seats, real small.
Or the obstructed seats, poles hold the place up.
The bathroom's no longer have the piss troughs that visiting fans got tossed into for being mouthy.
They moved into the past century with urinals.
These things take time.

The only reason they tear down ballparks is to generate cash cow money for contractors under the guise of needing to upgrade for more luxury boxes. I never understood why some places that replace their stadiums don't just build replicas of the old one with tweaks here and there. In the case of Oakland, I don't think that was primo-cut construction in the first place but the ballpark was there, which is the only reason the A's relocated there after Finley stomped out of KC because they wouldn't build for him. Oakland is a terrible economic footprint for MLB baseball.

If I read the article right, and it was a long read, so there's a chance I didn't, Fenway Park already has the record since the writer of the article only counted Red Sox games there. The Boston Braves played at Fenway Park in 1914 and 1915.

25-30 yrs. is a long time for any stadium. To know Fenway's been around for over 100 yrs. is something else, lots of history in that park. Wonder if the Red Sox would ever contemplate replacing it.

Not even .... Fenway is a baseball icon, it belongs to all of baseball!!!

It would be a sad day if the Green Monster were to go away. If they were to build a new stadium they should replicate it!!!

And Fenway cracks my top 5 list of stadiums that look like shitholes(Wrigley came off the list after the renovations.

1. Oakland
2. Dodger Stadium
3. Fenway
4. Whatever they call the stadium the White Sox play at these days
