Are we good, lucky, struggling, excellent even?
I cannot get a grip on this team.
Unpredictable........however, I think this team is finally coming together. Losing Ridley hurt big time, but Ibeh finally found a pair after 3 years and is filling in fine. We could be scary come tourney time....
Still confused if we're mediocre or fantastic.
Well, KU exposed what kind of team we have. Self's game plan was executed to perfection. Take Taylor out of the game and dare our shooters and big men to pick up the slack. Hopefully, no other coach will do that.
UT has to be the only major P5 program in the country whose basketball team hasn't been able to shoot free throws and find a consistent SG in the last 7 years and can't find a quality QB in the same time frame......
HTF did we get a #6 seed?!?
One and done, unless Shaka can find some players who can make some baskets. Surely he can find some guys shooting around in intramurals who can consistently make some shots?
This is a good match-up for us. UNI likes to play slow, so do we. They are a defensive team so we won't have to outscore anyone (which we can't do).
This was horridly coached game. He didn't have his front court disciplined. He made several changes that didn't work. He kept us floating around the perimeter when the refs were calling touch fouls LITERALLY from the first possession. UNI was smart enough to keep attacking off the dribble to collect fouls. Shaka not so Smart.
Just a bad shooting team all around. Thank goodness Taylor played lights out or this would have been an extreme beatdown. Anybody remember when all 3 major sports sucked at the same time? Probably when I was a student in the mid 90's. Now on to watching a mediocre baseball team....
I was thinking the same thing last night. I can't remember when we sucked at Football, Basketball, and baseball at the same time. I still point the finger at the top. They did nothing while these programs began to slide down.
We duck in 2017. Duck.
