I'm a die hard Met fan, but Chicago was my second home. Congrats to @nathans8823, @ChicagoIrish , @Microwahevo , @NDHoosier101 and any other long suffering fans.

My dad was 2 months old the last time the Cubs were in the series. #perspective.

Thanks man what a night it is! Unfortunately might Grandfather passed away earlier this year and his favorite team was the Cubs, sadly he couldn't see it happen this year But we still have the WS up ahead and can't choke now!

I'm not a Cubs fan so it really doesn't matter to me it is the better story though. However if the Cavaliers hadn't won this year Cleveland would have a longer drought in championships in the major sports if you consider Hockey, Basketball and Football major sports. However individually the Cubs have been the most futile franchise in professional sports.

Well I would say the 1st was the one that felt the best but I suppose coming back from being down 3-0 to the Yankees with A-Roid trying to say his swat of the ball from Bronson Arroyo's hand was his natural running motion only made it all the better because the guy is a first class jerk.

I was one of them. I was getting text messages around the 7th inning or so saying "this one is over!", I just ignored those and wished they'd stop fucking saying that!

She couldn't see her last few years and as my daughter said, "now she can actually see them in the WS". So while I am happy about the Cubs, it does little to offset the disappointment that this football season has brought.

Kind of irritates me that the Cubs decided to wait for everyone to die before winning, or getting to a World Series. My dad made me a die hard Cubs and Notre Dame fan, he died in 2013.

what's irritating is that a city like chicago is among the crappiest sports in the nation.
