I'll probably pass out chanting SEC so much during this game. A very proud moment.

So a&m can be called Arkansas lite, they also ran from big bully Texas while chanting SEC all the way to their new home.

First time I remember is was when Florida beat Ohio State in the national championship game and the Florida players were doing it. Kinda surprised me actually but I think it was mainly because there was as so much media hype that the game should have been a rematch of tOSU and Michigan and they felt disrespected.

That was also the last time I remember the SEC not being considered the top conference.

I remember the chant being around in the late 1990s and early 2000s when I was a kid. The only time they really did it was in Bowl Games when they won a big bowl game (especially an upset). I know Tennessee fans did it in 2001 against Michigan and Notre Dame.

However, it really picked up after Auburn was left out in 2004. I think that really left a chip on everyone's shoulder in the SEC. Before and during 2004, the story always was that the SEC was ignored by the media in favor of B1G and Big12. However, it has been quite the opposite since 2007 and on.

That's the first time I remember it as well, and you're 100% right. The Florida players spent December listening to how badly they were gonna get smoked while OSU got lethargic going to buffets and banquets listening to how great they were.
