About the 5th time I have come across this evaluation of morris. From a projected 2nd rounder in the preseason, to undraftable. Thats some solid talent development under Golden. As I predicted Golden burned SMs pro potential and pissed on the ashes.

Clemson and Miami players suck due to bad coaching and are bad draft risks is the gist.

Golden sucks donofrio dick, basically.

When the wheels come off the cane train next season it will become clear.

Seems a bit harsh to me looking in from the outside. 9-4 given the circumstances of the program when he entered seems pretty respectful to me. Especially while dealing with the injury of a very good RB.

What are you bitching about? You could have had Muschump as your HC. One hell of a QB developer that man is.......

Golden is not the problem with Morris. Morris is the problem with his own draft status. He is skiddish as a mouse. Still has an arm, but holy shit he loves to take too many chances with the ball. Other factors than Golden to consider.

Just no real place for him in the NFL. I know I wouldn't sign him as an undrafted free agent much less waste a pick on him.

The goal of a college coach is to win college games. Not to develop players for the pros. Do you think maybe Mr. Morris had a season that didn't impress the pros and that's why he's dropped?

Someone will sign him as a free agent if he's not drafted and that'll be his chance.

Technically true and that is why they are hired. However, being able to develop players for the pros is a huge selling point when recruiting and therefore has direct influence on being able to win games.

Not sure how he was possibly a 2nd round projection at any point in time.

In players Freshman and Sophomore seasons, there are well over a hundred players that are "1st or 2nd round" type players. Over their Junior, and maybe even Senior season (if they hand around), they weed themselves out while others get much better.

What exactly does Morris do that should create interest for an NFL scout? Was it his 12 INTs this year? Is it his 58% completion percentage the past 2 years?

In every big game in his career, he has basically tanked.

What quality opponent has he ever played well against, and actually made a difference in winning the game?

Talented player, but he can't handle tough situations. It gets 10 times tougher in the NFL. For a player that has basically failed in every moment against the best competition, how could he possibly get better against much tougher competition and much tougher situations?
