Cashman confirms Shohei Ohtani will not sign with Yankees - River Avenue Blues

(don't get me wrong though, these are great blogs especially if you're a Yankees fan)

A distant second to your NY butthurt

A bit surprised he'd sign with an AL team, especially one with an albatross at DH (Pujols).

Are we saying this guy is going to land in the US and make the big-league roster right out of camp?

I guess he's that good.

Petco is not the baron wasteland for HRs it once was. They moved in the fences a couple years back.

Is that some place the Red Baron laid waste to?

I tell you what there will be a lot of eyes on this kid to perform I cant remember a player being courted the way this guy has. I cant believe teams really did a survey and give a presentation on why he should play for them excuse me? We will see what this kid is made up of other than Ichiro there arent to many great japanese hitters. Matsui was labeled godzilla and he hit 30+ homers once in his 10 year career

I could remind everyone of Fu-U-Do-Me that the Cubs signed for a quadrillion yen and he ended up being a 4th outfielder. Not saying this kid is that, but seriously ... are we that starved for some kind of Ruthian player from Japan. I was just getting ready to believe Trout's 50-foot statue was imminent.

I knew the answer.

Just baiting those who are oh so excited by the next big thing.

He should play in the minors next season, but he won't.

I appreciate you educating me.

I don't want to jump on the bandwagon too much, but a guy who has the ability to both pitch and hit has always been something that I've wanted to see. I've always hated the DH and my friends (literally all of them) mock me for it. It's why I was so pissed that the Twins passed on Hunter Greene.

I just don't get why for 100 years that we haven't had anyone do both.

How the hell did he make an All-Star game? Was that Japan stuffing the ballot boxes?
