Sharks are lucky to be tied right now. Blues are getting to the stray pucks faster (so far).

Polak in form in the 1st period. What a fan job there. Then had no idea what to do with a pass in front of the net. The Blues knew that is the guy you leave open.

And what is the deal with Vlasic clean shaven? That is bad karma and he put the puck in his own net there. Luckily there was goalie interference.

Pretty terrible first period. The fact it's 1-1 should be a good sign.

Hopefully we can steal this game or find our legs. Have to do better on the power play. No more being the other team's bitch. When that jackass Ott is in the box you have to make them pay!

Now it's the Blues who are lucky to be up 2-1. Great forecheck pressure by SJ that 2nd period. If they keep it up they will prolly win this game if Jones doesn't let in any more softies.

Dominate the period and one mistake by Jones and they are behind.

Also, if Pavs lifts that it is a goal. Reminds me of the Game 7 against the Kings a few years when he couldn't lift a golden opportunity.

Jeez.. everything but a goal. Two posts at the end there.

I like SJ's chances now based on what we've seen. They can beat these guys.

Looked like the Sharks of old. This team's biggest problem is their inability to be consistent. They come out controlling the game in the 2nd period and then all the sudden they go straight back into the victim role. When you are the top power play in the league do you not take pride in that and make sure other teams fear it? Why did they go against their game plan of getting pucks to the net especially against a shaky goalie? Cool they showed intensity and urgency in the last 2 minutes. Where was the other 50 something minutes of that?

True, only down 1-0, but the giveaways and lack of consistent puck possession cost them tonight. Getting out-hit 2 to 1 didn't help either. Need to clean those things up for Tuesday.

Yeah, St. Louis had more jump and outworked them for nearly 40 minutes. Still time left though, long series.

A couple mistakes cost them tonight but not a bad game. PP needs to be better though. Too many times got outhustled there and allowed Blues to dump the puck. Marleau and Couture not great there. Burns needs to clean up the defensive end too. Other than that, what can you do. Pavs lifts that one puck, the whistle doesn't blow on the Elliot gaff, and Pickles shot slides inside that post and we have a different result.

sharks hit 3 posts, had a goal taken away by the early whistle and lost on a weak one by jones, which is pretty much the first bad goal all PO's. They should have won, deserved to win, and will win if they play like that regularly. I am not too worried yet, since they lost that one on some pretty awful puck luck.

tuesday is obviously huge, but if they win, I will feel free good about their chances in the series. Im not panicking just yet and I thought overall, the sharks deserved the W.

In game 2 I want to see the Sharks have more mental edge. I want to see the best power play team in the playoffs act like the best power play team in the playoffs.

This is just stupid.

They lost 1 game, on the road, by 1 goal. Not to mention everything seemed to go against them.

Dramatic much?
