That's nice, but you can't begin to think about winning 4 until you win 3. It's a different kind of pressure involved when you are trying to 4-peat than never even repeating.

Who the hell said anything about 4-peating? The dude talked about how close the Heat got to THREE-peating and I noted the Ws got closer. Read or GTFO

He was also talking about the Lakers 3 peat and the whole thread is about Shaq/Kobe underperforming supposedly. Got misdirected a bit. Either way, same logic applies. Different pressure on a repeating team to get that third than a team not even repeating.

shoud've won 5 in a row, and frankly probably should've had more than that anyway...but the league needed good tv and wouldn't call the defenders guarding shaq by the book.

PGs would've had to have been guarding him by the 3rd quarter if they did that.

Imagine if Shaq played in today's NBA, lol.

He would be forced to switch on defense from perimeter shooting bigs onto guards and get destroyed defensively. Of course, offensively nobody would stop him, but they could try to force him to move the ball with double teams.

He would definitely need to be closer to his rookie weight than his heavier LA build.

Again, youd have pgs guarding him by the 3rd quarter if the league called it straight up and not made for tv

Also don't nobody win 4-6 championships anymore. This isn't the 1960s Celtics era, or even the 1990s Bulls era. It took the Spurs 15 years to win 5. There's no way the Ws win more than 2 more, and likely just one.

Robert Horry wants you to hold his beer.

Sure, but we all know that wasn't the case (and still isn't re: Lebron). As a Lakers fan, I lived through those years, screaming at the TV. He did get away with his share of dropped shoulders though.

If he scores 60 ppg then I can forgive his defense.

I don't know who you think you're enlightening, I saw all those games too. No reason to expect the refs to be BETTER these days, is there? They certainly haven't been in any other case...

No I just get tired of others here trying to throw shade on Shaq. Dude as legit unstoppable with a legit and fair officiating crew.

But it’s the NBA, you were never gonna see that. It’s made for tv sports entertainment.
