The Ottawa Senators have signed goaltender Craig Anderson to a three-year contract extension. The deal carries an average annual value of $4.2 million. The deal will pay the American netminder $4.75 million in 2015-16 and 2016-17 before dropping to $3.1 million in 2017-18

When he's on, he's very good.

Yep he just needs to stay healthy and be consistent - and the team needs to be better in front of him too, particularly the defense

Flames have Jon Gillies in the system and we have high hopes for him down the road.

I think the salary structure here says that the Sens hope that Lehner will start taking the reins in a year or two. I think his AAV is a bit high if that is the case but young goalies are always a crap shoot.

Decent re-signing.

That 3 mill in the last year will make him a very affordable back up , or an easily traded Asset for them.
