Just curious what people think, if Bernie Sanders is the Democratic nominee instead of Hillary, does he win? I really think a lot of people didn't vote for Donald as much as they voted against Hillary.

Trevor Noah said early on that they were each running against literally the only person they could beat.


I think even Martin O'Malley (grade 4 dingleberry) could have beaten Trump. Hillary was literally the only person who couldn't. Or well, did... but didn't.

I think so. I think he carries all of the states she did, except maybe Nevada but takes the blue collar states that she lost, Wisconsin, Michigan, PA, and Ohio, which is more than enough to offset the loss of Nevada.

The people in those states thought she was out of touch (fair) and that Trump would somehow be better (doubtful). I think there were a fair number of Sanders supporters who didn't vote at all too.

I think the most telling thing about the Clinton campaign was that her supporters spread blame so widespread after her defeat - Sanders supporters, the FBI, Russia, third party candidates, the electoral college, white supremacists, women, rust belt "working class" white men - yet placed very little blame on the campaign itself for failing to realize that these things would be issues.
