I think we are catching a break with the home/away set up for the NFCN games -- GB and Minn home, Chicago & Detroit away. Really couldn't have worked out better.

Also Raiders away game is in London... I'd prefer we don't go to London at all, but obviously there's going to be no home field advantage in terms of noise there, lol.

Looks like the toughest stretch is Week 10-14. Most winnable looking game there is home vs SF, and that may not be nearly as easy as a game as it has been recently. I think the pre-bye slate is fairly friendly. All in all, not a bad looking schedule. But we already knew all the opponents and locations, so I'm not sure the order matters all that much. However, I'm glad we are in Chicago when it wont be freezing cold.

Gotta say I like the first half of our schedule. Tons of time to prep for Denver, Chicago is still building, Dallas will suck without Bryant and we have 2 good run stuffers we added plus it's a home game, Cards/Rams will be tough but I think we can take one, and the Raiders is definitely winnable with a new coach and it's technically a neutral game.

I see no reason we can't go 3-3 at worst into the bye and then we've got 6 games at home of the 10 remaining.

All depends what we do in the draft and if our running game improves and if Dion Jordan can step up big this year and N. Jones picks up where he left off.

1st off. 5 primetime games for a team who didn't make the playoffs is pretty fucking sweet.

2nd easy start. I can see us going 5-1 into the bye.

3rd. I can see us going to the playoffs with this at 11-5

Disagree. I hate TNF, London, and MNF games. I remember there was a fuck ton of injuries (including Sherman's season end one) in that Arizona game last year thanks to the short week.

SNF is somewhat tolerable, but I'd rather just everything but normal times. Sadly, that means our team would suck if that was the case.

Denver signed Case Keenum, right? That isn't necessarily the easiest way to open up, including week 2 on the road during prime time. Trying to think what Denver's DL is going to look like and how our once again newish OL will hold up. Glad we are not starting off with Rams & Vikings the first 2 games. Hopefully by week 4 the line will be coming along to face Suh & Donald. Gulp.

One other thing that gets my attention is having to play GB on a short week, but at least it's home and in prime time.

Trying to think on whether I would rather see the bye before or after the London game. I guess after is probably better, so that's a positive. I haven't paid much attention to it before (since we haven't had a London game yet) but guessing that's the standard routine.

Lasting thought on the schedule is that like every season, there are going to be some teams who we don't think will be good who are, just like there will be some who we think will be good who aren't....and that will change the way the schedule actually ends up being as compared to what we think it looks like 4-5 months before the season starts. Similarly, timing of a key injury or 2 can have a big impact either for or against, and that's an unknown this far out. And not having status resolved for Kam, Avril, and even ET blurs the vision a little as well. Putting all that together, for me it's just a bit too early to start talking about records or predicting if we will win or lose a game in like week 11. Always fun when the schedule comes out though...

I'm just glad we have GB at home. Seems like the Hawks have been traveling there for some umteen times in a row.

Russ doesn't get much respect (still) even from our own fans. Look, if Rodgers plays, GB gets penciled in for at least more wins than losses.

If Wilson plays, Seattle wins more than 6 games.

But, as usual, the skeptics are perfect, because it's just fuel to the fire motivation wise.

Love MNF, the wife as well.
SNF is a "meh" unless the Seahawks are playing.
TNF is is an abomination and the injuries happening all the time prove it.

Side note: I knew I realized I had a winner when I first started dating my wife. Two rules for MNF were instructed to me:

1.) Do not put myself between her and the TV.
2.) Get my own damned beer and get her one as well.

Been married almost 19 years now.

I hope you have those same rules...

1) She does not per herself between you and the TV.
2) When she gets her own damned beer she gets you one as well.

I generally can't stand watching football with people but women are USUALLY (not saying all) the worst. They yell and scream at everything and are WAY over the top obnoxious because they think screaming and flipping their shit is the only way to show they are TRULY a fan... yet 99% of them can't name more than 5 people on the roster or what last season's record was.

Guys are getting pretty bad as well, since they want to flip games 24/7 and 90% of their comments are whining about their fucking fantasy team.

I preferably watch football completely alone.

Hmm if you gave Rodgers our O-Line and running game I'd pencil him in at 6-7 games as well... and probably an injury by week 4.

Although I realistically think Seattle ends at 8-8/9-7... if Jordan/Mingo/N. Jones step up and Seattle finds a running game, I feel playoffs are realistic.

As long as Russ is healthy, the team will always be a playoff contender. I'm excited to see what the revamped staff and our young guys can do come game day. Oh yeah, I'm super excited to have a better FG kicker.

8 is more than 6.

CBS sports radio as I was driving home last night, read out the predictions for each team, and had Seattle at 6 and 10.

Thanks for the math lesson though.
