i believe they are a top 10 Run blocking team but more like a 15-25 pass blocking team, They will get better in that area this season. Youth is well served on the Hawks Oline and just playing time alone will improve it.

RW's mobility helps the OL out a lot in the passing game. I really do not like Giacomini though.

He's been fine when he hasn't been racking up penalties. If he can cut that out (and he did for a while there last season), he'd be a good right tackle.

As far as the entire offensive line goes... I think we can have a very good one if we can get the guard position figured out. We have two guard positions and about half a dozen guys battling for those two spots. Carpenter and Moffitt are the two names that jump out at you right off the bat, but as we've seen, Carroll isn't going to just give guys the spot because they're the most recognizable, so those two are gonna have to fight for it if they want it.

Pretty big disparity between Pro Football Focus and Football Outsiders' 2012 rating...

2012 Run Block Rankings: 15, 3
2012 Pass Block Rankings: 13, 20

Then to get the 20th overall from Rolloworld.

I imagine a pocket passer behind these guys and must concede the point. Wilson's scrambling ability negates the absolute need of a top ranked OL.

Maybe resources may then be used to address other positions/needs.

Boon !

Am I one of the few that think that SEA OL is better then it was being graded by Rotoworld? You guys were injured all season seemingly and week by week you pieced together a pretty decent season.

I think our OL run blocks well, but the pass blocking leaves a little to be desired. If Wilson wasn't as mobile and elusive as he is, the sacks would be piling up. Perhaps with better health that can change..I'm just not sure.

I foolishly didn't factor in RW's mobility when thinking of the OL. I felt as if they were above average in run blocking and average at pass blocking before factoring RW's skills with it.

Do you think any of the 7th rounders can supplant Breno? I like the kid who transfererred from OK State to the smaller school. Breno can be a mauler on the run and works well with Zach Miller on runs that go to his side.

Maybe pass protection he needs a lot of work

No I don't see anyone in the draft replacing Breno. Could be that Carpenter does however.

At times it was very hard to watch Breno last year. He can do his job, but boy is he a head case. He lacks discipline and ends up costing them too many stupid penalties. Still, hard to say if the things he can do make up for those penalties or if they are better off with a more consistent, but less powerful alternative.

I was ready to have Breno benched in the first half of the season, what a bone head! He seemed to have gotten under control the last half of the season.

I see good and bad in Breno. He adds a little edge to the team and on running plays he can be a force. My biggest worry about Breno isn't the penalties, because he seem to get that under control in the latter part of the season, its his pass protection. Pass protection just isn't his forte.
