McDougald signs a 1 year for $2M (about $1M guaranteed). A+ signing all the way. McDougald is a decent starting safety who will provide great depth behind Earl/Kam and if Earl is a little slow to make it back. Her certainly wont be as much of a liability.

A+ signing all the way. 1 year prove it contract with little risk and McDougald is actually a solid starter.

Sounds like a nice addition that will add depth at a much need spot and a good insurance policy.

Does anyone have an idea on how much cap space we have left? We need around $5 million for the draft (from what I've heard) and another 5 million in case of injuries.

Before McDougald signing about 13 million, so think they are about done with FAs.

He could also line up at corner.... He's got the size Pete likes, 6.1 and is a good cover guy... He's only 26 also..

Seahawks sign Oday Aboushi Guard...

When Aboushi has been a starter, he has been among the best guards in the league when it comes to pass protection over the past two seasons, allowing only four sacks or quarterback hits on 287 snaps during which the quarterback held the ball for more than 2.0 seconds. That 1.4-percent sack/hit rate ranks favorably to some of the league’s top guards, and Aboushi also had only four penalties over the past two seasons. Aboushi has also proven durable in his four-year career, missing a total of four games due to injury while never appearing on injured reserve.

THAT is a nice pick-up ....

If it's a one year, no guarantee cheap contract, I'd be OK with that. He could help the young OL sharing what he knows about blocking. Maybe limit his snaps to try to keep him healthy.

Yes indeed. A band-aid solution for the year. This team got to the second round of the playoffs with a crap line, now add a LT with experience and the line becomes better. Better o-line, better chance for a SB run.

Seahawks have done a good job of finding value pick ups this off season.

I could maybe see him in some nickel. He's not as good of a cover guy as a run support.

Looks like Boykin was arrested in Dallas early this morning when a car he was riding in crashed into a bar with him getting hit for public intoxication and possession of marijuana. Not really what you're looking for in a guy who is 1 play away from being the starting QB, and it's too bad because he's such an inexpensive solution to the backup QB job.

Report: Seahawks backup QB Trevone Boykin arrested after car crash in Dallas
