Scrimmage Report

- Knowles is fast...super fast
- Defense is faster than Knowles..
- Ronny VanDyke is a monster, will be a great player for VT
- Multiple recruits were there including Oren Burks and Anthony Jennings
- Antony Jennings and Burks were talking on the sidelines most of the scrimmage
- Rody can throw a beautiful deep ball
- David Wilson was in attendance
- Kicking is a MAJOR worry, I can see Abbott coming in and winning the kicking competition early
- Marcus Davis will explode this year
- Jarrett took a punt back to the house, great returner
- Dyrell returned a few nice kicks, the return game should be pretty solid
- DPM could see some time at TE
- Offensive line does not have the gel together yet, lots of false starts
- Leal can ball
- JC Coleman is shifty and will be a mismatch for most defenses

All in all, a sloppy but productive scrimmage.

The LB group as a whole looked very good. RVD is very, very good and will be a great player. The entire D played very well, very fast.

Also, forgot to add to the top, D. Manning is a MAN, he has gained some good weight and played very solid all day

If RVD is the heir apparent to the Whip position, are there any talks of moving Dew to a safety position? Seems like too good of an athlete to let him sit, but I guess he just hasn't gotten the mental aspect down. I wonder if he could do better as a rover?

Possibly, but that will be decided after the spring
