@SJ76 gonna be happy!

Now TA better get his ass on the field!

With Watkins at the No. 1, Woods goes to No 2, that pushes TA back to the slot but Cooper Kupp has performed well so far in the slot spot.

This maybe a good thing for the Rams since their receiving core's shallow. Watkins may redeem himself in LA.

Once again, I think we gave up way too much for another receiver that is at best "iffy".

No, the talent is there Red, he just needs to stay healthy. With McVay's system, a heathy Watkins will easily have a 1,000 yard season. Gurley wont see 8 and 9 in the box in McVay's system and if Goff sees his potential from both the SMcV system and SW addition, not only could Goff do well this year, he could have Sammy in the hunt to lead the league if everything clicks!

I think we overpaid for both Bills WRs and according to the post-practice analyses with the Chargers, Woods wasn't all that dazzling.

Not thrilled about us giving them back a second rounder, otherwise I like it...
Teams will have to honor the deep threat of Watkins, so this opens up all the underneath stuff and the running lanes for TGIII. It wasn't the sweetest of deals but the player talent fits both the system, and the current roster, so it makes up for what we gave up in the deal by far.

What what what? Holy sheet yeah. Makes us deeper for sure. Talented too. Mike Thomas has looked good as well

Also, this should be good news for Tru, because with Kupp in the slot, we can either trade Tavon :hope:, or cut his ass to free up enough cap space to sign both Johnson & Donald.

This could be what the team was waiting on in getting AD into camp.

More expensive than the Mark Barron trade was but I think the idea here is pretty much the same. Give a top 10 talent a new place to try and thrive and give him a new contract if he earns it.

We might have been able to do it with a 3rd rounder, but you all always bark about NOT having a #1 WR and pulling the trigger on a trade when someone beats us to it.

If we can get a 3rd for Tavon I love it.

I agree with Retro.

We gave up too much for a WR that can't stay healthy. Plus, the Watkins/Woods combo didn't work in Buffalo, so we decide to make it work in LA?

Plus, the Rams have a boatload of young WR that they refuse to see what they have with, and the Rams were already thin at CB and you trade an experienced CB and hurt your depth for another WR?

Btw, the Bills made out like fat cats. Trade an injury riddled Watkins for a better WR in Matthews, get Gaines to replace Darby and get 2nd and 3rd round picks to boot.
Can we have their GM?

I really like EJ, but he was a 6th rounder who played up to a second. There's your 2 for 6, plus, when we get Johnson signed long term it made him expendable in the big scheme.

I really like what I'm seeing with McVay building the offensive roster. We sign a top tier LT and a serviceable C to shore up our line, jettison the dead weight in Robinson, add a talented & true No. 1 WR in Watkins, add a complimentary No. 2 WR in Woods, add a ready to go day one rookie for the slot in Kupp, and no doubt leave options to rid the underwhelming Austin and rid ourselves of an overpaid and unproductive slot, and all this gives Gurley more space to rack up some huge yards and keep drives alive!

The Watkins addition, who has a 5th year option still on the table, is the perfect fit to a plan that makes so much sense.

Bye, Bye Austin it was, well.... okay knowing your over paid, high stepping, oft injured, early stepping OB ass!

Watkins will be due an extension very soon, and won't be cheap either. Bills didn't pick up his 5th year option.

He looked good early last night (first 3 plays were completions to Watkins) and is by all reports healthy this year.
