Sam Dyson had another blowup Tuesday, giving up three runs to the Angels in the ninth and sending the game to extra innings.
Dyson surrendered a leadoff homer to Danny Espinosa and three more hits before finally escaping. We imagine that Rangers manager Jeff Banister will give him at least a little break from closing after this third brutal outing. Matt Bush would be the favorite to fill in.

Reports: Rangers to DFA Dyson, seeking trade

Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Rays "will look into" Sam Dyson.

Topkin adds that it "may be just usual due diligence, or could end up being more." Dyson is expected to be designated for assignment by the Rangers on Friday after posting a 10.80 ERA over 17 appearances this season. However, the 29-year-old entered 2017 with a career 2.93 ERA and he saved 38 games for Texas last season. Dyson is also under team control through 2020. There will be interest from multiple teams.
