Hearing a Cincy Eagles possible trade ... we would get RB Jeremy Hill and they would get Mychal Kendricks. Anyone hearing anything about this up your North?

If it's for Kendricks straight up, absolutely - anything we can get for Kendricks at this point is a positive. Maybe we get lucky and Hill can re-capture some of that ability he had as a rookie. If he sucks then move on. Seems like he hasn't been the same player since he fumbled in that playoff game against the Steelers a couple of years ago... good red zone back though, he'll help there for sure.

Hope they are really looking for backs like that. Power run game, playaction passing game.

I love Fournette, but I would never trade up for a RB. That would take "at least" our 3rd Rd pick to get up that high.

need too much help in too many places to use 2 picks on 1 player.

Would love to get Fournette. Worth the trade up IMO.

I want to get some reinforcements (later in the draft + a free agent) for this year to hold us off until next year = Barkley.

You plan on seeing us the top 10 picks next year duke? :)

I don't see Barkley as being a realistic option unless the team falls apart next season. He's going to be a top 5 pick. Either way you are going to have to trade up if you want the best RB in any draft.

As a Jeremy Hill fantasy owner, the trade would surprise me for a few reasons.

1) Hill is pretty key to what the Bengals do, as their primary inside and goal-line runner in a run-heavy attack.
2) Hill is not very good in the pass game, and Doug supposedly wants to throw more to his backs.

I think the Eagles are going to draft a back in the third or fourth round, like Kareem Hunt of Toledo or Jeremy McNichols of Boise St. Both of those guys can catch the ball and be all around backs in our scheme. The Eagles supposedly were very interested in Hunt at the Senior Bowl, where he looked good.

Hopefully Howie has at least kicked the tires on a bruiser like Blount and thought about floating a one year, blue light special.

But, then, current cap might not even allow for that.
And I don't believe he is much of a pass catcher.

Heck no, but he is one that I would trade up to get, and I would give up a lot to get him!
Nope. He's a RB. I know you're a PSU fan and all, but just no.

I don't think RB is a huge need, and would be fine if we didn't use a pick on one in this draft. I think Smallwood showed enough to get consideration as the workhorse and Sproles is still around. Finding an UDFA or late stage bargain bin FA to round out the rotation would be good enough for me as it allows us to address roster holes elsewhere.

Hill would be a nice option and complement to the smaller backs on our roster, but it's a bit risky that if he has a breakout season you may be pigeon-holed to pay him big money after this season. I think I'd rather take my chances in the draft - many are saying one of the deeper classes in the last 10-15 years.
