Last years Eagles team was nowhere near "one of the greatest of all times". Don't be a stupid homer.
they are at least one of the top 52 teams ever.

Foles was awesome
Wentz was awesome

Combined they went 16-2 in games they started and/or finished. The eagles were blowing the fuck outta teams with Wentz in there. With Foles the eagles blew the fuck out of the Vikings in the NFC championship.

Without Wentz' play I don't think the eagles get HFT. Most notably probably losing to the Rams. After that all we had to was beat the shitty Giants and Raiders, both games which we struggled.

Honestly this eagles team should go down as one of the best teams in nfl history.

Typical homer supporting, in this case, two "system" quarterbacks.

There are facts that suggest they are. They are definitely in the top 10.

If that's the case so be it. I'll take a SB with these "system" QB's every season.

Not even fucking close :L

I'd be curious for you to list ones that are better. Some obviously come to mind, but the eagles were historically great last year.

No, there was nothing historic about what they did. Literally not a single thing.

I'd be curious how many teams have won a super bowl with their back up needing to play because the starter is injured? Or how many teams overcame an injury to a HOF LT. Or how many SB teams won 13 games in the 16 game era(all the while tanking the last game to avoid more injuries) Or how many teams won by an average of 16 ppg when their starting QB started the game. Just some food for thought.

none of that is historic. Was your offense historic? No. Was your defense historic? No. Was your special teams historic? No.

You won the SB. Congrats.

Doesn't mean your team was a "top 10 team of all time".

Does that make 2014 Ohio State one of the 10 greatest CFB teams of all-time? Not only did we win the SB with a backup, but he was our 3rd stringer, not 2nd.

No, he's a notre dame fan. Probably thinks that years' Notre Dame season was one of the greatest of all times because they watched tOSU win with their 3rd stringer on TV.

I'm not try to talk shit here, I'm honestly interested to know why you think they were historically great last year. They didn't lead the league in points for (3rd) or points against (4th), they don't have any all time great players, they weren't even favored in the SB. I think you can make a pretty good case that they weren't even the best team in 2017 even though they beat NE on the day that counted.

So you think a team like the 2000 ravens are better? There are only 10 SB champs in the 16 game era that finished with a better record than the Eagles. And like I said the Eagles tanked their final game of the season(who knows if they would have gone 14-2, but they were 13-2 when they tried to win) So with that stat I'm trying to hurt my argument, but still trying to be fair. They scored the 10th most points in the 16 game era as a SB champion, and that was with them being significantly worse after Wentz went down, and with them tanking the final game. With Wentz over a little over 31 ppg, without 17 ppg. Or they would be even higher offensively. Between combining their record, with point differential, with ppg, along with having to play your backup, there's an argument for them to be at the back end of the top 10 IMO. And I'm not even trying to be a homer.

You think they have to be a SB champ to be a better team than the eagles last year?

That's where you fail.

I was throwing the fact they won the SB with a back up as a side note. My guess is just based off of looking at the scores of their games, they weren't one of the 10 best offenses to win a title. And there are alot of teams that have gone undefeated that have won a title since they've gone to needing a 12th win/BCS/CFP era.

They were tied for 2nd in ppg, 1 ppg behind the leader, but with Wentz averaged 31.1 ppg which would have lead the league. And they didn't try to win the last game of the year at all. They would have had a HOF LT but he got injured in the middle of the year. They weren't favored in the SB because we had a back up QB. There's nothing to suggest they weren't clearly the best team last year, that's fucking blasphemous to say that.
