Utah and Cal lose at home to Boise St and Cal Bakersfield. Hopefully this isn't an indication of the quality of the league and instead is just a sign that Cal and Utah had no interest in the NIT. That shit was brutal

I know that Ivan Rabb and Jabari Bird for Cal were both out, so at that point they were done. Utah isn't very good this year.

Aside from all that, I remember last year the P12 got 7 teams in and only Oregon made it out of the first weekend. I think the year before the Pac got 3/4 in the S16.

So who knows?

Well, USC got in by the skin of its teeth and then there's only 3 teams.

Oregon gets a pass because of Boucher.

I don't think Arizona loses too early.

I can see UCLA losing as early as 2nd round.

I don't really think you can gauge anything off on NIT outcomes. As a fan of the Gophers, we've been in our fair share of NIT tournaments and quite honestly, I don't really care what happens. I can only imagine the players think the same way.

With that said the Pac 12 wasn't any good this year, so those outcomes aren't all that surprising.

Utah ran into that buzzsaw known as Boise State!

All of you in the NCAA tournament are so lucky you don't have to deal with us

....

Been years since I was in college but when I was none of the players I knew wanted to be in the NIT. If they didn't make the NCAA they would rather be done. Can't imagine much has changed since then.
