On the surface, the Super Bowl might seem like the worse collapse, but I think the Rose Bowl collapse was worse.

First of all, the Falcons were the team with no Super Bowl experience and they were playing the most successful team of this millenium, being lead by the GOAT QB and the GOAT coach.

All the while Oklahoma has had playoff experience, while Georgia hasn't, and Oklahoma was being lead by a Heisman winning QB and had a historically good offense. All the while Georgia was being lead by a true freshman QB with an offense built around the run game, and is generally not equipped for making a comeback, but they did in a big way.

Super Bowl. It's so rare to see a good team collapse like that in the NFL. The college game can swing much more on momentum bc they are kids.

The Falcons were up 28-3 and up by 19 entering the 4th quarter. OU was up by 17, but a 14 point deficit at halftime isn't exactly insurmountable especially at the college level. I don't think this is even close.

Oklahoma, for the reasons you listed. The Patriots had Tom Brady. If New England had collapsed, then there could be debate.
I do believe we are watching a Helfrich crash and burn in the making.

Easily OU, they had a shot to shake off the "big game bob" with the Heisman QB and choked. The Falcons were pretenders, they had a nice lead but eventually Tom Brady went back to being Tom Brady.

Even if they won OU would have still had to win another game to win the title. It was a bad collapse but in the grand scheme will eventually be mostly forgotten. The 28-3 lead in the superbowl will never go away.

Also, Oklahoma had the opportunity to prevent me from posting "Lost in the 50's Tonight" by Ronnie Milsap everytime a Sooner fan started to get uppity. They choked it away.

Oklahoma's highest win probability was around 92.6% in the 4th quarter. The Falcons were hovering around 99% in the 3rd quarter.

I don't know it's way to close to call :

on one hand you have a professional team that totally gave up on professionalism,

the other hand "Baker Mofo May field" got scared and tried to hide behind Stoops defense!
