Normally, I should say hitters paradise this afternoon with June 9.90 Vinnie facing June 8.10 Cy Marquez, 23-year old Venezuelan righty. But unseasoned pathetics may likely stumble and fall to the COL rookie. Hits are so hard to come by these days even at home. It would be cool to see Kraut, if he plays, get a long ball off Germán.

Perfect, clear weather today in Philly so I may head out for the ballpark. Could be a waste of money. But I need a cheese steak and some barbecue.
Go Phillies! You unseasoned bastards!:suds:

Phillies might see the ball better in daylight!

Nothing is easy for this team. Will the relievers hold the Rockies in the top of the 9th? The pen is horrible as of late.

Be quiet!
While I feel he wouldn't have made it 9 with his pitch count, I'm also partly to blame. Listening on the ride home I decided not to stop at the store if it was still going on. As soon as I walked in the door and was going to turn on the mlb.tv broadcast, the radio told me it was over.

It turned out to be choice game to attend. Velasquez was perfect for six. Amazing. Plus, the Phils actually managed 13 hits!

Had an upper deck seat for 10 bucks, price break for some reason. Thome was honored and his daughter sang the NA. 95-year old General Chuck Yeager was in the park and received a standing ovation at third base. You remember him, the first guy to break the sound barrier, flying the X-1, over 70 years ago.

I watched a little of the game on the 300 level which gives an interesting perspective. Check it out.

Never any doubt, of course. We gotta check with @_phiLLies_ to see if Vinnie’s value went up.

na. no GM is stupid enough to ignore the 8,353 full counts.. or the fact you can keep taking a no-hitter into the 6th or 7th inning, yet still be over 100 pitches and fail to finish the actual inning itself.

it's like i always said. dude needs to basically give up a hit or two just to make it 7.

Quite a facetious number. Lol. Total full counts are actually 138 overall when adding his four years splits in ESPN stats. That would be cool, to see him keep taking no-hitters into the 6th inning. Definitely, this guy is worth keeping. He’ll keep improving but will throw some lame starts now and then as expected. IMO.
