RIP Gord Downie

Frontman for Canadian rock Band 'The Tragically Hip.' After a year long battle with brain cancer.

53 years old, same age as me, as of today.

Brought them to my college to play the year after this song came out, just as they were becoming popular.

I saw the Tragically Hip when they opened for Page & Plant in the early 90's. Good stuff.

I particularly like their albums...."Fully Completely", and "Day for Night"

Just now discovering these guys. Hate that it took Downie's death to get me asking my Canadian buddies about them. This is an act I would have made a trip to Dallas to see. I kinda get why Canada is in mourning. This is to them what Tom Petty was to me. Personal.

The GOAT. Nothing like a live Hip concert and Gord's digressions! Impossible to have a favorite song, they were all so good. A great entertainer and an even better poet.
