At this point, they should probably try the Baylor model. After Briles was fired they hired Grobe for a year and then found a permanent replacement in Rhule this year. I only say that because it's this late in the year. Not sure who's out there similar to a Grobe type though? Or they just hire an interim coach from within, but Pitino's assistants have clearly been proven to be shady.

In his defense, he walked into a shitty situation. And as for Baylor, they probably hired a better coach than they otherwise would have, if they tried finding the long term solution after Briles was fired.

If I'm being honest, I will always appreciate what Pitino did for UK in the late 80's and early 90's. Of course, I do think he's a son of a bitch for coaching Louisville because I really believe there's an unwritten rule about that somewhere but regardless, you simply can't do the things that they were doing and not expect to get caught at some point.
