Man people really like drawing definitive conclusions from small samples of PA's around here, huh?

He's a streaky hitter. He was insanely good in May last year, and sucked arse in August. I suspect it'll even out before the year's over.

And as for Jackie Bradley, he's never going to be a .300 guy.

in his 2 seasons with over 100 games played, if you combine those 2 seasons, he's hitting .212

a batting average Mario Mendoza would be proud of.

Not sure how you got that. Combine those two seasons and he has a slash line of .239/.316/.396/.712

I see how you got it. Batting average is Hits/At-Bats, not Hits/Plate Appearances.

Not much better, but I accidentally used plate appearances instead of AB's when dividing the hits.

But .239 isn't exactly refreshing.

No, but his OPS is .712 in those two seasons and the average for AL centerfielders in that time is .720. And he's not as bad as he was in 2014. Even since his streak ended, he has an OPS of .722 while AL centerfielers over that same time frame have an OPS of .730. So he's a slightly below average offensive centerfielder, and an above average defensive one. I think that's what most fans thought he would level out to. Probably felt he wouldn't even be this good offensively, and admittedly that he would be better defensively as he's not in the same class as Kevin Kiermaier or Kevin Pillar in my opinion.
