Plus it's better to overpay a bit for a short term contract than get stuck with a long term contract. I thought he would've been seeking maybe a 4 year deal, so Boston did good getting him for 2 years.

No complaints. I wish they could have pulled off the trade for him in 2010 though. The hip condition's a bit of a concern, but I think he'll be worth it. He had a .360 OBP and .482 SLG% (129 OPS+) and handled 1B a lot better than expected. He's quickly become one of my favorite players.

Short deal and he likes playing in Boston. Good signing I guess. I was hoping for Beltran at two years as well, but it seems he got the yanks to go for the third year(Cano deal caused that).

Still would like another RH batter
