Everything looking good with Crawford and ND. He should commit soon. He just wants his mother to come and talk to the coaches. Another reason is he is already recruiting for ND. He is very good friends with 5 star LB Justin Hillard. He is trying to co visit with him.

ND is hot on recruiting right now. This is the recruited we been waiting for this year.

ND is also going hard for 5 star DE Jashon Cornell.

Lets Go Irish.

Mothers usually love ND. It's the fathers and friends that we are fighting. If its up to his mother, I like our chances.

Ok some negative. We had a lot of positives as of late but some bad news just came in. 4 star QB Blake Barnett is really looking at Oregon. This was his childhood fav school. Keep a close eye on this. He is still committed to ND but he did say he is really thinking hard about Oregon. I wouldn't be too concerned if we lost him because we have a little depth at the QB position.

Barnett won't sign with us, I'm surprised he's stayed committed this long. Interesting that he was laughing not too long ago that other schools continued to recruit him after he gave a verbal to ND, it obviously works.

He could be sitting behind Zaire for 4 years, I don't blame him. Still sorry to see him go (if he does).

I'm not too concerned if they do lose out on Barnett but it would be nice to keep the top player in your class at the moment. I'm not surprised Oregon are trying to pull him in hopefully they fail like they do against Stanford every year.

Tonight Notre Dame received word that 2015 Quarterback Blake Barnett was no longer part of the 2015 class. Barnett tweeted

“I’m no longer committed to Notre Dame and I have opened up my recruitment,” Barnett said. “I”m not committed to Oregon or anywhere and I’ve decided to explore my options.”

Barnett had visited Notre Dame for USC game and committed after the BYU game this past fall. Oregon hosted the 4 star recruit this past weekend for a 2 day visit, and immediately becomes the favorite.
As for Notre Dame, Torrence Gibson (Plantation, FL) and Travis Waller (Anaheim, CA) come to mind if Notre Dame decides to pursue a 2015 quarterback. 2016 is once again loaded with quarterbacks with already offered Malik Henry (Westlake Village, CA) Shea Patterson (Shreveport,LA ), and Irish legacy Jacob Eason (Lake Stevens, WA)

Not too surprising.

Not surprised at all, everyone said he was a long shot because he wanted to stay out west and then he committed and it surprised me. Keep going after a QB in this class him or someone else and if the other guy commits take his commitment and stop recruiting Barnett.

I think ND is done recruiting him. Kelly doesn't like when players de commit.

Micah Dew-Treadway has committed to Notre Dame he is a 3 star DE on ESPN but they still need to evaluate a lot of players in this class. Rivals have him as a 3 star DT, Scout have him as a 3 Star DE, and 247 list him as a 3 star DE.

decent pick up. Don't know much about him. Looks like ND is trying to keep a lot of local talent this year. I don't mind the move.

I think he is going to end up playing DT, I won't be surprised if they don't land any "elite" players at DT with the guys they have on the roster plus who they picked up last year.

Only person Barnett would sit behind is Golsen. Dude is that legit, sucks we lost him. But we'll be just fine.

We're moving on to Waller. Who is really fast, but I think is just ok. Kind of reminds me of that Frazier kid that played at Auburn.

I think by next year, Golson could be sitting behind Zaire.

For those wondering...

247 - 4 star
Rivals - 3 star
ESPN - 3 star
Scout - 4 star

Also of note, is best buds and goes to church with Justin Hillard...OH's #1 overall player and #4 LB in the country per 247. Come on big Elijah, time to do a little recruiting now.
