That's fine, but you're letting it slant your views of even a quality recruiting class. Which this was. We're all on the same page with where Stoops has been steering this thing, but damn man, it's not all doom and gloom all the time.

I guess it's all how you define doom and gloom. Can this team win a NC with its current coaching staff and talent level? No. Did we appreciably improve our situation with this recruiting class? I don't think so. I'm done being satisfied with winning conference championships......which we can't even do that recently. I want a NC at least every 10 years. More if possible. We're Oklahoma. We should be able to do it. I like winning too much to be a doom and gloomer. I like things to be positive. That's why I'd be having a Do Better talk with Stoops and letting him know I'd fire him if he doesn't show marked improvement.......pronto. As in fired, get the hell out of here, take your settlement and I'll find someone else who will accept $5.4 Million/year to get us back to the Promised Land.

Not the highest rated class but consistent. I read somewhere this is the most 4 star recruits since 2010. A lot of this has to with who is ranking the class. A guy that comes to OU might be a 4 star but would be a 5 star if he went to an SEC school. True there is no AD in the mix here but did anyone really get someone like that this year? We have been on the slide in recruiting but we haven't brought in a class ranked outside the top 20 in the past 16 years. If you are bringing in that level of talent you can win an NC with the right set of circumstances. I don't agree with the direction of the program either but I am willing to give it a fair chance to succeed before we say scrap it and start over. I remember the 90's!!!!

Well we get immediate help at WR and CB, which we desperately needed. That's good.

The passing game has to improve, yesterday.

Come on Baker Mayfield. :hope:

I doubt Hansen is ready, but it would be nice.

Hearing that Thomas gave up baseball is a good sign. He's concentrating on being "the guy"...who knows, maybe he'll turn into "the guy"?
