I know that a lot of points have been made on both sides of the coin regarding his production this year. In a contract year, he has been selfless and a great teammate. I don't think Ertz and Agholor have as many TD's or catches in general if Jeffery isn't lining up. I think he will be a great player with us and start producing big numbers regardless.

Awesome 53 yard touchdown today!

I agree Jeffery's value extends to more than just stats ... I do think they need to give him more 50/50 balls here and there. I guess they haven't needed to do that much though as other guys like Ertz and Agholor have stepped up their games this year. I hope he sticks around after this season.

Dude's a baller when healthy.

Wish the Bears would've kept him.

He seems like a good guy and I would not object to re-signing him as long as it was not an outrageous amount of money. He does do well in one-on-one coverage and thus frees up the middle for Ertz and Agholor.

This could play out well for us, we could wind up with a #1 at a discount price.

At his current pace, Alshon will end up with around 830 yards and 6 scores. Those would not be eye popping stats for a #1 which may make other teams hesitant to throw big contract #'s his way. So yeah, I think we have a good shot of locking him up at a nice 4 year deal where his cap figure for 2018 is team friendly.

Yeah...it's just been a shame he seems to not go up and fight for 50-50 balls....

...is an argument that really can't be made anymore.

Unless he is willing to play for a reasonable price - no thanks. How much does he have left?

Calvin just turned 32 a month ago ... 2 years "younger" than Larry Fitzgerald and Fitz still plays at a high level. Calvin at even 70% of what he was when he left can get you 7-800 yards. He's only missed a season and a half ... it's not like he's been out of the game for years. The question is has he stayed in shape?

The trade deadline is in 24 hours. Knowing Howie's history, I think we will have to be tuned in to a move tomorrow.

Honestly....I'm going to stay consistent here. Why?

We are talking about one of the greatest game changing receivers in history. We are also talking a guy who has not played in two years....and all the questions that go with that. Add in that there would need to be a trade and compensation to the Lions and the fact that our WR corp is pretty solid this year

I'm a fan of keeping it simple even when you have the draft capital to make a move.

All of that into consideration and I say no thanks.

It would be a waste to trade a pick for Johnson. There's no way he is in anywhere near football shape right now and will likely take the remainder of the season to get in shape. This is a trade, if you want to do it, that is done in the offseason.

I am with you on this. If we bring in anyone, let it be an left OT. We were most likely going to draft one or FA one this off-season. We need to make a run, go get Joe Staley even if he needs to miss the next game.

Umm, who do you think is choreographing these team TD celebrations. He's been producing big numbers.

The occasional bomb, the occasional touchdown has been helping in a big way. The go to guy for a BIG PLAY.
This guy has value.
