The reports are that the Spurs demanded Embiid or Simmons. That's a non-starter.

Of course the reports could be bullshit.

Ok. If that is true, then sure.

Not what I heard though.

Except,

Houston got worse and there is a huge chasm between GS and everyone else. Including LA.

While everyone wants to crown Boston today, GS currently has a larger gap between them and everyone else in the West than Boston does in the East.

Houston isn’t done. They could add Melo and Dudley. It’s an interesting group.

After some thought... I think your prediction is fair. I can't really muster too much energy to go against it in any way... nor do I particularly desire to.

I'm just not terribly focused on the regular season. I honestly hope the C's do have the "problems" that certain posters such as yourself point out... (too many players, too few minutes to around)... that way guys like Kyrie and Horford get more rest during the regular season which they could probably benefit from.

Whether the C's get 50ish wins or 60ish wins... the main 2 questions are:

1.) Can they reach the NBA finals?
2.) Can they beat GS once they get there?

Everything else is side issues.

If they have too few minutes they could dump morris.

It would save the team a ton in luxury tax penalties in the future.

I think they're good for this season... I think they'll stay under whatever number they have to to avoid future complications with the repeater tax or what-not

(At least for this season)

One possibility I heard is that they could talk to Horford and rejigger his contract... push some of his money back.

Makes little sense if al is even remotely considering opting out

Not really.

Neither of those guys bring what Ariza and Luc Richard brought. Houston was tough against GS because of their defense. They won't have that this year with Melo and Dudley.
