The LB was very good at Tennessee, but he was injured in 2016. The TE pick confuses me.

My sentiments exactly. 2 guys that could have been there in round 6. Hope we are wrong.

I'm not sure who the smartest guy is going to be concerning the way this draft is unfolding, but I'd like to find out it's the front office and not the Lions fan board.

Hey look at the bright side. At least we have something to complain about this year. Last years draft was not much we could say bad about it.

The TE pick is bizarre. Jake Butt, Jordan Leggett and Bucky Hodges all left on the board.

I've watched Reeves-Maybin quite a few times in 2015 and twice in 2016. He's not lightning quick on timed speed but his instincts and ability to read/diagnose plays are very good. He'll get washed out in trash at times but he's a solid tackler and some of the best coverage skills for CFB LB'er. He can come in and play on pure passing downs, moving LB Davis to the Mike (if he assumes the role of Levy Day 1). If his shoulder is all healed then come 2018 I could see Reeves-Maybin as the WILL and Davis as the MIKE. That's two LB'ers that have plus skillset in coverage which we haven't seen here in ages.

The small CB from San Diego, Agnew, has blazing speed, punt return capabilities and should be able to provide competition to the slot CB. Give him all of 2017 to learn that role and he might shock in 2018. Hayden and Lawson both on last year so this can be a good depth move that might pan out.

CB Jamal Agnew San Diego (7.53) 5094 186 - | 4.34 - | 2.44 - | 1.54 - | 16 - | 36 - | 1005 - | 4.27 - | 6.92

I cant see us keeping Lawson. Heck he may get moved to the slot and that is only if Diggs does not recover from his sophomore slump. I think Hayden will beat him out or at the very least replace him after this year. I think Tabor could be a safety as we really dont have a solid backup for Quinn.
