I know, just my opinion
I love me some L.A. Noire, but there really isn't a whole lot to it past the story. RDR at least had some card playing mini-games.
There's that, too.
Fun for the whole family.
Witcher 3 borrowed a bit from RDR, imo. RDR also arguably has the best main story of any open world game I've played. Its a bit dated at this point but I'd play it over gta4, any fallout, skyrim, the Batman open world games and Horizon Zero Dawn.
Actually gta4 might be a push for me in terms of missions. I liked that a lot, too. Gta5 is better and so is Witcher 3 but video games generally get better.
I had so much fun playing poker, getting mad at one of of the players, and then standing up to punch the guy in the face starting a gun riot

Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date Updated for PS4 And Xbox One - GameSpot
Are there any blockbuster games that don't get delayed at least 2 or 3 times?
This is bullshit. It better be fucking worth it.

Carry on. I'll wait.
My main issue with Rockstar game has always been the saving... Last game I tussled with was GTA4, and in that one I hated having the game saved at one of my apartments, then heading out for a mission and having to drop by the gun shop, buy ammo and new armor and then drive half way across town only to get gunned down in less than 30 seconds, lather rinse repeat.
Though what was more annoying about GTA4 was the constant phone calls from friends and women wanting to hang out. Would have been fine if not for negative consequences for NOT spending 30 minutes of real time doing it....
Call of Duty goes early to avoid Red Dead clash
Again, given what the public did to Mass Effect, I don't blame Rockstar one bit for delaying. Better make sure that snowflake game fans don't get their panties in a twist.
This game is going be be incredible!!!
Tis going to be the reason I finally by an Xbox One.
Depends, if you have a badass TV and you plan to get an Xbox One X, go for it!!! I don't have a badass tv but still love my Xbox... However, I find myself playing my PS4 more than my XB1 lately(though I use my XB1 for YouTube, netflix, hulu, etc...)... Both have great exclusives, Sea Of Thieves is pretty badass on Xbox. God of War is pretty badass on PS4. The games on both consoles tend to look better on PS4 sometimes MUCH better...
I've never been much of a Play Station guy but my son is so the way we usually do it is he gets the newest PS and I get the Xbox that way we have both. We got him the PS4 when they came out I just haven't been playing near enough these days to justify getting an Xbox One yet. I think the RDR release is gonna change that though.
You'll be able to play RDR on PS4 just fine, no reason to get another system for that game... These days, PS4 seems to get the DLC quicker or exclusive DLC that XB1 doesn't get(at all or for a while)...
Unless you're afraid of hogging the system from your son so much once it comes out?
I'm actually not sure what system I get it for. I want to hear about the graphics comparison first. However, one reason I'd lean towards XB1 is the controller. Love that damn controller....
