I must say... when i took the Final player rankings i was shocked at the final rankings... Russell Wilson being the number one QB?? maybe we should end the rankings week 16 so week 17 is not included... Things to discuss for next year...

I have a league that I've been in fer 25 years and we have a week 17 SB and I would not change it. That said, the last 2 years players sitting in week 17 have hurt the game. IMO it's just part of our league, but more members are starting to lean to week 16 SB.

I am one who doesn’t understand why week 17 doesn’t count. Especially in a redraft league.
Unfortunately it is standard to have 16 weeks. Hard to find leagues going 17

Shit, I'm in the one that goes 17 and the one that goes into Championship week...............sadly, I think the week 17 league will change in the next few years.....................and yes Milk, I think the other one should go all the way to the SB.

In my main league, we have been having the debate for years. Our problem is that we have been set up to go through week 17 and a lot of people want to change it, but when I explain to them that we can't just take away a week because of the math and schedules and all and go through the different ways we can make it happen, none of them want to change the way everything else is set up, so we always vote to keep it as is.

But that never stops some people from bitching about it to me. They act like I can just shove an extra week up my ass and forget about it. I came up with all kinds of different ways around it, but nobody likes any of them. I swear, Milk would be proud of some of the ideas I had.

Done both.
Week 16 and 17.
Can personally say I lost a championship last season because of week 17.
Had at least 2 key players being benched in preparation for the playoffs.

I've been one of my league's main supporters of the week 17 'ship. I've always thought it was a cop out to say, "Oh, but sometimes some people may sit if they have it locked up." As mentioned, it adds an extra twist and if you plan for it, it is no big deal at all. I also am quick to point out the year I lost a playoff game in week 15 when Peyton Manning was pulled at halftime with no warning whatsoever. Nobody is for moving the championship game to week 14, by the way.

The thing that really pisses me off about the whole subject is that I was the one who sat down on off season and came up with about literally, 10 solutions to solving the issue and every one of them was immediately shot down by people. Then, the very next season, the topic came up again and the conversation went exactly like it did the year before where nobody wanted to change anything else to make the math work. As a matter of fact, we just had the conversation yet again this past off season and I will give you one guess as to how that went.
