Cruz has more holes in his swing than Rob Deer. No way JD signs him long term. In fact, I'd get whatever I could for him at the deadline this year. He is one of the most overrated players in baseball. He had one good power series in the ALCS then proceeded to lollygag his way to a flyball costing Texas a championship. He'll be on the DL soon anyways with a pulled muscle of some sort. Rangers can do much better than Nelson Cruz.

I suspect you may be right. I just sort of cringe when I see him at first base, especially when Moreland is available.
