Here's why...
1) NY kills left-handed pitching, especially at Yankee stadium. Rangers top 3 rotation guys are lefties.
2) Boston struggles against lefties. Shoot, right now they just struggle period.
3) Texas struggles against the Tigers, and its possible NY could take them out in the 1st round (but I doubt it)
4) Like Texas' chances in an ALCS (7 games) against Tigers more than a short series, ESPECIALLY if Texas has HFA.
5) If TB gets in over Boston, would rather host the Rays than go to NY.
Rangers, while getting rest, have good reason to try and overtake the Tigers. I understand Wash wanting to rest guys, but hopefully he still plays to win. Ogando for only 2 innings is a head-scratcher to me. A couple more innings wouldn't have hurt him at all.
