Tony Zych (elbow) felt tightness in his right forearm during a bullpen session Saturday.

It was the first time he'd thrown from the mound since he went down last month with a right elbow flexor bundle strain. Obviously, it's not an encouraging sign for his potential return this month.

What is our record vs Houston this year? Seems like we can't win a game against them... Whenever we go on a winning streak, we end up facing Houston and either lose the series by winning one game or getting swept... They're the momentum buster for the M's this season it seems...

Not disagreeing but to think that's the sole reason we aren't making the playoffs is foolish. Even if these guys were healthy how good were they honestly supposed to be? This offense was supposed to be good and carry the load and more often then not they haven't.

I keep tweeting back to the M's reporters who fall back to this lame excuse. They weren't good to start with!!!!! The guys we obtained since the off season were crap pitchers or injured coming in. It was all a fail from day one in the pitching department. The money is in the lineup and the lineup comes up short way too many times in big games. Cano torches the lousy A's then disappears against a real team. Cruz is MIA again. Th e All-Star OF has dumped again.

If I had to guess it's probably like 2-9 or 2-10 against the Astros and probably against every other teams in the league, yet these fuckers are still hovering at .500.
