I saw this on another board and thought it was fun...

Basically what you do is start off with the team roster and assign a point value for each player. Then when someone posts in this thread, the poster has to give a + to a player and a - to a player. This will raise or lower the players value. Once a player reaches zero he is out of the competition.

So lets say game one everyone has a value of 40
and Stephan scores a hatrick like he did last year, I would hope to see many posters giving him a +1
and lets say Staal has a terrible night, posters would give him a -1

So if I was the only person playing it would look like this

Before Game

Player A 40
Player B 40
Player C 40
Player D 40
etc

After first game (or even after any kind of news about the team)

I would copy the above score and add a 1 to someone who i think deserves it and take away 1 from some one who also deserves it.

After event posting

Player A +41
Player B -39
Player C 40
Player D 40

etc
