Series Thread: Rangers Continue Run Against The Dregs Of The League vs. White Sox August 17-20

Some people get a big kick out of going to games and literally being a "side show" clown.

Probably just attention whores. I recall seeing some funny stuff during the west coast games over the years, but at least what I saw over there was kind of funny and not obnoxious / retarded.

In Anaheim, right behind the dugout I saw a guy in a unicorn costume. Also who could forget in Anaheim we also had beltres ( oh shit oh shit) game.

In Seattle, I saw a guy with a huge Tyrannosaurus rex costume walking around. Everyone seemed to be laughing about it tho.


Long story short, west coast games are fun. I'm looking forward to them because I'm a night person and I hope we can win a few of them.

No I'm a CPA

I have a friend who lives in Seattle and family who live in LA. I usually try to plan my summer visits around Rangers trips to each city so I could visit people that I like and watch my team in cool ( weather wise) relaxing environments.

I've been to more games in Seattle, Houston, and LA then I have been to at the globe.

I don't go to Astros games anymore because my grandma died a few years ago. I'd usually visit her on Sunday then go see a game.

Ranking the parks in the AL west I'd go : Seattle, LA, Houston, Rangers, The A's

I've never been to a game in Oakland, but cmon we all know the park is a toilet and their fans are an embarrassment.

Disappointing series for sure.

I was hoping for 3 because a 4 game sweep is a big ask no matter the opponent. Oh well. We can make the disappointment go away if we have a good road trip. Bring on the west coast!

You're right. We have just come up short after a valiant effort. If we had been 100% sure we would make the postseason, Darvish would still be on the team imo.

I've been out of the loop. So what's happened with Gomez being on the DL?

John Blake, the Executive Vice President of Communications for the Texas Rangers tweeted today that Gomez underwent excision of a cyst on his right shoulder. Gomez has not played since Texas last Sunday where the ill effects began to take place.

According to Stefan Stevenson, what started out as a pimple on his upper back between the shoulder blades, turned into a full-blown cyst. Apparently, the injury worsened while Gomez was playing.

Stevenson further clarifies that the infection affected Gomez’s ability to sleep, resulting in Gomez’s nearly going to the hospital. Today, since Gomez was going to be out again, missing his sixth straight game, the decision was made to place on the disabled list. A tough decision, but the right one.
