That's what i said about Josh Robinson in 2015. And Josh Fergusen last year
Think Mack is a better prospect then those two. Besides nobody beats Father Time and Gore already has defied the odds to still be playing RB at his age. He's going to 34 in May, amazing he still not only playing, but starting and doing well. This got to be his last year.....right?:noidea:

Nothing is muddled.
Shelf life of a RB is a few years.
Very few have careers like LT, AP and Charles.
You can't blame teams for stocking up on RB.
Look what happened to GB last year.
I'm sure many will end up on NFL practice squads.

LeGarette Blount
His ECR is 28 and his ADP is 26. I don't get the attraction?
His numbers suggest that anything outside of New England is meh. And he's no longer in NE.

Eddie Lacy
His ECR is 22 and his ADP is 20. Why?
He has a career 4.4 ypc which is respectable.
But he came from an offense with "quick-release" Aaron Rodgers. Yet Rodgers was sacked 130 times since Lacy arrived. (Not that I'm blaming Lacy. Just making a point.)
Now Lacy lands with not-as-quick Russell Wilson who has been sacked 172 times in the same span.

Lot of you seem pretty excited about this 2017 RB draft class.
I don't think I've seen a draft this deep (arguably) since the 2005 RB draft class.

Made me wonder how the rookies did in 2005.
Here ya go:

Pick / Player / Tm / Rush Stat Line / Percentage of Carries / Notes
2 Ronnie Brown MIA 207/907/4, 47% - Ricky Williams carried 38%
4 Cedric Benson CHI 67/262/0, 14% - Thomas Jones carried 64%
5 Cadillac Williams TB 290/1178/6, 63%
44 J.J. Arrington ARI 112/370/2, 31% - Marcel Shipp carried 44%
54 Eric Shelton CAR dnp
65 Frank Gore SF 127/608/3, 30% - Kevan Barlow carried 41%
73 Vernand Morency HOU 46/184/2, 10% - Domanick Williams carried 53%
77 Ryan Moats PHI 55/278/3, 15% - Brian Westbrook had 43%
101 Maurice Clarett DEN dnp
109 Marion Barber DAL 138/538/5, 26% -Julius Jones 49%
110 Brandon Jacobs NYG 38/99/7, 8% - Tiki Barber 76%

Two things....

1. I drafted Benson that year.

2. Frank Gore was a rookie?

Actually, I drafted him in the 3rd as my 3rd RB in a non flex league, but not 100% on if it was '05.... I know I followed it up in the 6th with the Bears DST (the year after they scored a million TD.... so maybe I'm thinking '06?)

I actually got lucky, dude in front of me Benson, so i took Caddy later on .

Hard to believe Gore was a rookie in '05..just seems like he's been around longer than that

I guess no one is noticing that the usage (%) is going down the later they were drafted?

2005 = still the last few yrs of the workhorse back, rookie RBs weren't used/thought of as much as they are now.
Also, RBs were drafted a lot earlier in 2005, so a 3rd round RB in 2005 is prob more like a 4th/5th round guy now, or maybe worse.

Top 14 RBs in 2005 but only took 11 from 2017, give me Jones

246067

dammit, wrong Jones!
