@TKOSpikes - offer sent in our pre-draft dynasty league. @MilkSpiller22 - if you've got any thoughts, let me know; I still kinda like that schweinhund. Did I spell that right?

I figured it would be appropriate to move our conversations here. :lebowski2:

fucked up every phone and/or computer I've ever had...

Offer accepted! (even though Teheran is involved... drafted him as my ace in this league in the original draft, traded him away and for a few times since)

Well, I like it, although I love Duffy.

CMart: finally his year? We shall see.

It always kinda scares me when an offer I make is accepted quickly...Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuce! :pound::pound::pound:

CMart was high on my list... but Duffy really intrigues me as well. Your sweeteners were just tasty enough.

Fair enough. :suds:

I'm not much of a counter guy... I send a lot of first offers and get countered a lot. I would say 90% of my trades are accepted by me from a counter or someone's original offer.

I just know that we've got a pretty decent trade history between us; I honestly was taken off guard when you accepted, probably because I love all three pitchers involved and I got nuts thinking about Judge's potential for the future...and then I remember all the other power guys who strike out like maniacs. Judge is on the flipping block. ;)

Man, I love CMart, tho...even more than Duffy, whom I love as well. And I also think Teheran is a solid #2 with surprising potential.

damn it:suds:

According to Jim Bowden of ESPN.com, Alex Reyes has a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow and will go for a second opinion.

Reyes previously dealt with a strain in his elbow back in 2013 and received a platelet-rich plasma injection at that time, so the big question is the extent of any new damage. Bowden hears that Tommy John surgery is "likely," but the fact is that the promising young right-hander is looking at a significant absence no matter what. Michael Wacha is now the favorite to open the year as the fifth starter for St. Louis.

Yeah. That one is a bummer. Got any thoughts on Wacha? For me, in his career it's been

u mean this guy:suds:

Michael Wacha said that he felt no pain in his arm during Wednesday's bullpen.

Wacha has been throwing side sessions this month and is hoping that he has built up enough strength that the recurring shoulder injuries which have bit him in the past are just that, a thing of the past. Said the 25-year-old right-hander, "My arm feels like it's able to move freely and without any pain, and it's working the right way. I'm really happy with the way it's going, the way I'm bouncing back and recovering." With top prospect Alex Reyes set to undergo Tommy John surgery, Wacha's health entering the 2017 campaign is going to be crucial for the Cards. Club general manager John Mozeliak indicated on Tuesday that so long as Wacha can maintain his health, he will likely be in the rotation come April. In 138 innings this past season, he held a disappointing 5.09 ERA.

Just picked Wacha (#414). Gotta say, it's value or easy cut bait.

@Chef99 .... I know you love this... Avisail Garcia shed 14 pounds this offseason!!!

rut roh:suds:

David Price underwent an MRI after experiencing considerable soreness in his left elbow.

Price has been scratched from his scheduled Grapefruit League debut on Sunday and Red Sox manager John Farrell admitted that there is real concern among the club's medical staff. The high-priced left-hander will get a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews at the NFL Combine before anything is announced officially. None of this sounds good

I was listening to Sirius radio today... I'm sure this happens all the time, every year. How could it not? Baseball is not football when it comes to scouting or drafting.

BUT.... this is worth mentioning.

Round 1 - 2006

1. Luke Hochevar - Royals
2. Greg Reynolds - Rockies
3. Evan Longoria - Rays
4. Brad Lincoln - Pirates
5. Brandon Morrow - Mariners
6. Andrew Miller - Tigers
7. Clayton Kershaw - Dodgers
8. Drew Stubbs - Reds
9. Bill Rowell - Orioles
10. Tim Lincecum - Giants
11. Max Scherzer - D'Backs

Sure, the Rays and Giants can feel okay about it. The rest? OUCH

Imagine Kershaw being a Rockie for the last 10 years?! Could he have been dominant?
Mad Max as a Red? Sigh......

Yup... just looked at 2009.... Trout 25th overall is pretty funny. Probably hard to beat that one.

It's funny, the Tigers were all set to take Kershaw at 6 until Miller unexpectedly fell to 7. Thank the Royals for being cheap.

On the other hand, they also don't have Miggy without that happening.

But the MLB draft is such a harder draft to master than the NFL or NBA. Guys don't come up for (normally) 3-6 years after they're drafted.

What spring training performances do you guys see continuing into the regular season?

I have picked up Pablo Sandoval and Brandon Drury to see if they can keep it up. Sandoval looks healthy and fit finally and seems to be raking. He could set a career mark with HRs this year if he stay in shape and healthy. I think his previous high was 25. I could see him hitting 30 bombs in the AL East.

I am also intrigued by KC 2nd baseman Raul Mondesi.
