This Rams game is about as big as an early season game can be, we're either gonna be basically 3 games out because the Rams will also hold the tie breaker, or leading the division tied up holding the tie breaker... This game is HUGE, Seattle better be focused knowing what's at stake ... I wanna see some good focused football on Sunday by the Seahawks ...

So true. Pressure Goff and slow Gurley down and hope our offense can get out to a quick start.

The game is bigger for the Rams. If we win we are in the driver's seat for the division. If we lose then we need to win the home game and the Rams need to lose at least one more. Almost certainly both teams will lose at least a couple more games.

I don't believe it's a must win but i believe it's a big game for being this early in the season for both clubs. Rams want to prove they are for real and Seahawks want to prove their slow start is over and they are who most thought they were in the preseason.

Hawks lose it's not the end of the world, but you can't dig yourself into a hole and hope to dig yourself out of it later every damn year.

Is it a MUST win

Absolutely not. A "must win" means you either win this or there's no hope of winning the division. That's not the case here.

I do think though that we're facing the best Rams team in a long time, and given how we've fared against lesser Rams teams, this is a big game for the race and also to judge what kind of team the Hawks will be when all is said and done.

As boogie said, I want to see a complete game, where this team plays crisp and confident football. On defense, seal run gaps efficiently, make sound tackles, and get off the field on 3rd and 3+. On offense, run the ball enough to keep the Rams D line honest, and let Russ do his thing. Don't show me this conservative "feel the game out" bullshit in the 1st half. TDs are imperative here. Settling for FGs will not cut it against a good Rams offense and Blair Walsh is only slightly above Nick Folk on my kicker confidence O meter right now.

FTR, I don't think our recent history against the Rams really matters much. IMO, Fisher kinda had Pete's number and did a lot of stuff that he simply didn't expect.

I hope that holds true. I honestly hate this week of the schedule. We play like trash against these guys in their house almost every time. At least we did when Fisher was the coach and they had a good D with a lousy O. Their team is sorta flipped now.

We never played them well but we also lost a lot of games because Fisher would do really weird things like fake punts, fake field goals, fake punt returns, etc. They always seemed to work against us.

If its another first half where the offense doesnt show up we have no chance.

Just reiterating the years old problem of only having a functioning offense for one half per game.

Guess how many first half points this team scored in the first of our first 4 games of the Super Bowl winning season? 28. Guess how many they scored this year? 24. And in 2013 17 of those 28 were against the horrible Jaguars.

Our sb win was 4 years ago, you dont think its a problem that our offense hasnt figured out how to avoid first half debacles?

The other big difference playing the Rams of this year vs previous years is the normal 1pm (4pm for me) start time. Normally these games have been the early start times where the team looks like they haven't left the hotel and usually find themselves down early and often in StL. It may or may not make a difference but I like to think it will and we'll see a better show against the Rams in LA.
