I live in Vegas now, trust me the Raider fans are here, add in those from LA who travel up to Vegas even without the Raiders, now take into account some fans of other teams especially those born in Vegas will switch alliances. An Eagle fan at work already claimed he's leaving the Eagles for the Raiders, saying the Eagles are now #2.

I have a buddy who lives in Riverside county and is a season ticket holder (yes he travels 8 hours for home games)... just halved his commute - he is super excited. I will say this - there was absolutely no chance of me going to Oakland for a Patriots/Raiders game, now with Vegas, yes I will likely be going when they play there.

Not likely, I used to live in Vegas some-20-odd years ago - lots of people from somewhere else, like San Diego (except worse - far fewer natives). Lots of former New Yorkers in Vegas - I was surprised.

With all the other things to do in a warm weather, touristy spot, they'll suffer the same symptoms as San Diego and Miami : after the novelty wears off.

Bruh, half the people in Vegas are down near from LA. Majority of them are Raiders fans.

Well, Tommy Boy is now public enemy #1 in Oakland.

I wonder if Al would have done the same thing had he still been alive. He seemed like he would have been a Vegas guy even back when the mob controlled the town.

It sounds to me like fans in Oakland are not nearly as angry as you might think, more frustrated and resigned. This was a long time coming and I think they blame their politicians as much as Mark Davis.

Vegas putting a visitor tax of $750 million to pay for their stadium. What a bunch of asshats.

I'm also curious about what Oakland's attendance is going to look like when they're building the stadium. It's going to be an ugly look for a bit.

The tax will add $1.50 per night for a room. Stop your crying.

Well, then why are you stupid aholes putting it into education?

Dont get mad because I have principles. You're taking someone elses football team and making other people pay for it.

Most of us support taxes for education, also this tax isn't just a tax for the stadium it's also for the convention center.
Now, dont blame Vegas for this move blame Oakland politicians, how bad did it have to be for Goodell to support a team stepping into Sun City?

Well it wasn't that great before they decided to move. They were still blocking off over 10,000 seats every week this past season so they could say the stadium was "sold out"

It's freaking Vegas ! Vegas doesn't even need a football team to draw crowds and interest. How they have not had a franchise by now is puzzling.

It's not even a "If you build it they will come..." situation. More like a "May as well build it while they are here...."

To me it will quickly become one of the top visiting fans sites in the NFL. I mean cheap airfare, cheap hotels, gambling, entertainment beyond the game, and of course then getting to watch your team. So even if they can't get people on board with cheering on the Raiders I think they will sell plenty of tickets to visiting fans. Then throw in businesses that will buy up bulk tickets to give away either in the casinos or to clients.
